Pipe Pressure Publisher's Description
This is the software for the Palm device, which calculates the pressure drop in a pipe system with a fluid medium! Example: If you have a central heating system with water flowing through pipes and a pump. You want to calculate which pressure drop results if you have a pipe of 25.4 mm (1 inch) diameter and 20 m length in series with a pipe of 15 mm diameter and 10 m length. The flow per hour is 4 m3. This software calculates the total pressure drop in the two pipes: it is 0.1392 bar (1 bar = 100'000 Newton/m2 = 14.5 psi). You can have up to five different pipes in series or in parallel. Or you can calculate the flow when an certain pressure is applied to your system of pipes. The formula calculates with an incompressible fluid with a certain viscosity (can be specified in a menu option). The viscosity of water can be chosen as default.
